One word "fasting" can already cause a rejection reflex, but do not rush to draw conclusions. The intermittent fasting system, or Fasting, is not so scary - it is just dividing the day into two periods that follow each other: the one in which you can eat and the one in which you cannot. This type of food is actively used by both women and men.

The optimal time period is 8 hours versus 16. In the period of hunger, include sleep time. For example, start a meal at 12:00 and end at 20:00. Leave the rest of the time to fast.

During a hunger period, you deny yourself any food. It is only allowed to drink water, tea, of course, without added sugar. Any, even a small piece of food will break the whole scheme - you have to start all over again.

During the meal period, try not to pounce on food, try to eat more or less correctly, and best of all, stick to a calorie deficit: include more herbs and hearty soups in the diet. In the end, this is the same experiment that will last until New Year's Eve. And there you suddenly get involved in the process? Someone makes one meal during this time window, and someone breaks it down into many small portions.

Intermittent fasting can be a useful tool for many to organize and structure meals. After all, you do not have to adhere to a specific menu, you do not need ready-made dishes in containers, which you must always carry with you, and there are no restrictions, except for the time period.

Time window options for intermittent fasting are as follows:

16/8 is the classic and most optimal option, when you fast for 16 hours and leave 8 hours for your daily calorie intake.

36/12 - 36 hours of hunger and 12 hours for food are suitable for more experienced hungry people and people without gastrointestinal pathologies.

19/5 is a more complex scheme of the classic version, which is suitable for those who have a very limited daily calorie intake, for example, those who need to lose weight as quickly as possible.

One of the first to be noticed for intermittent fasting was the American actor, ex-football player Terry Crews: his meal period begins at 14:00 and ends before 22:00. Today, among the stars who are constantly on intermittent fasting and thus keep themselves in shape are Hugh Jackman, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jennifer Lopez, Miranda Kerr. And Nicole Kidman, for example, prefers the protein-vegetable principle of nutrition during mealtimes.>
