For several years in a row, La Prairie has been actively involved in Art Bazel art projects around the world, presenting collaborations with artists, sculptors and architects. Each such work is inspired by the research and development of a cosmetic brand.
At the exhibition in Basel, at the La Prairie stand, new works of the young Swiss artist Manon Vertenbrock are presented. They are inspired by the life and work of one of the most famous feminists of the past - Niki de Saint Phalle. This is a kind of “artistic dialogue of generations”.

Vertenbrock created three works especially for the Basel exposition. In Mirrors, reflections and lines mean an endless exchange of knowledge. The Blue Portrait is an underpainted face that symbolizes the mask of our opponents. The third work - Window Glimpse ("Look in the window") - represents deep and sharp lines, as if drawn on glass, adjacent to a delicate flower pattern. So, according to the author, we often hide our tenderness behind a rough outer shell.
In each painting, Wertenbrock uses cobalt blue, which he considers the color of "dreams, exploration and truth." This shade was one of Niki de Saint Phalle's favorites, and it also inspired La Prairie designers 30 years ago to develop packaging for the popular Skin Caviar collection. Through the color and subjects of the paintings, the artist showed a connection with the work of de Saint Phalle. “What attracts me to Nicky's work is her strong, instinctive use of color and shape, and the fact that she was not afraid to voice her incredible ideas out loud,” says Wertenbrock.

Wertenbrock's paintings are presented at La Prairie, along with a snake pouf created by Niki de Saint Phalle in 1991. You can see the works of both artists until June 17.
Also at the Basel exhibition, the Swiss brand is presenting a new version of the iconic Luxe Cream from the Skin Caviar line, which celebrated its 30th anniversary last year.

The number of fans of the Swiss brand La Prairie is endless. For example, Angelina Jolie does not part with Skin Caviar Luxe Cream, Megan Fox - with Skin Caviar Concealer Foundation. Victoria Beckham, Helena Christensen and Christina Hendrix apply Cellular Radiance Eye Cream overnight, and Jamie King uses Skin Caviar Luxe Sleep Mask. Zoe Deutsch and Holly Hunter adore the Platinum Rare Cellular Cream, while Sir Mick Jagger confesses his love for the Caviar Liquid Lift.
This attachment to La Prairie cosmetics is understandable: most products are based on a patented caviar complex for skin care that replaces any beauty injections. Cellular anti-aging therapy in the 30s of the last century was developed by the Swiss surgeon Paul Neuhans, who devoted almost his entire life to the study of aging processes. The doctor's innovative care turned out to be so effective that those who wanted to improve the condition of the skin and the body as a whole were drawn to his clinic on the shores of Lake Geneva. The doctor's patients included Marlene Dietrich, Winston Churchill, and Charles de Gaulle.

Scientists at the clinic continued their research on Neuhans in order to obtain a remedy that could be used at home. So in the late 1970s, a revolutionary anti-aging cream with a cell complex appeared, which allowed women to achieve noticeable results without going to surgeons. The company keeps the resulting formula secret, and not a single laboratory specialist knows the composition of the miracle complex as a whole.
The most famous development of the Swiss laboratory is the Skin Caviar line. The caviar extract used in the products appeared thanks to the nutrient Vitellin, which is based on phospholipids and phosphoproteins. Scientists have found that they stimulate cell renewal and restore the cellular structure of tissues. A secret cell complex, amino acids, algae and malt extracts, various proteins: sea proteins for active production of collagen, wheat for faster cell regeneration were also added to the beneficial eggs.

By the way, Skin Caviar products work great on damaged skin areas. For example, if you immediately apply Skin Caviar Luxe Cream in the event of a sunburn, the redness will subside faster, the skin will not peel off, and with a small cut, the wound will heal almost immediately.>
