The history of the Louis Vuitton brand began with suitcases, but even those who are not good at fashion chronicles invariably associate it with the road - first class passengers, as a rule, check in the cases of this particular brand. And now you can go on a journey, even if your leather bag is gathering dust on the shelf: the Oscar winner Jacques Covalier-Belletrud has chosen several perfume directions at once.

Do not think that the journey will be to places of former glory (although for more than two decades in the profession, the famous nose has made more than one "trip around the world"): in order to choose truly exclusive ingredients, the perfumer traveled to the most remote corners of the planet in search of new "deposits ". When everything was collected, Monsieur Covalier-Belletrud went to Grasse - Louis Vuitton's olfactive laboratory was decided to be located in the historic capital of perfumery.
Already here, he supplemented the collection of components with May rose and jasmine (how not to include the city in which you grew up in the map of must-see places?), The smell of which he knows from childhood: as a schoolboy, Jacques helped his father-perfumer in his workshop during the holidays. But he distilled these flowers in a very special way to avoid the deja vu effect in the aromas.

It is here, right on the pink field, that the Rose Des Vents perfume is transported: it resembles a light breeze that plays with petals, which makes their scent only intensify. To this heady haze, the perfumer added notes of iris, cedar and pepper.

Returning to the roots, but not to his own, but to the fashion house, nose and folding the scent of Dans La Peau - the composition is based on a unique infusion based on leather from the Louis Vuitton workshops. It is set off by an almost candied apricot and two types of jasmine: from France, and more specifically from Grasse, and China. And over time, jasmine absolute and musk become audible.

Cavalier-Belletruda was also inspired by the atelier to create Mille Feux: there he saw how raspberry-colored leather in the hands of the master turns into a luxurious bag. Then the perfumer decided to forever combine natural material and juicy berries, complementing the unusual combination with an accord of osmanthus, iris and saffron.

The soul asks for distant wanderings? Follow Matière Noire to Laos, where the perfumer found superior quality patchouli and agarwood. He added blackcurrant to the dark wood accord and slightly illuminated it with a flash of narcissus and jasmine.

Contre Moi takes him to Madagascar and Tahiti: it was here that Cavalier-Belletrud found vanilla for his fragrance. He covered the thin black pods with a translucent veil of orange blossom, magnolia and rose petals.

Apogée is a short trip. But who said that a short-distance march will not allow you to regain yourself, being left alone with nature? A bouquet of lily of the valley, jasmine, magnolia and rose, on a guaiac and sandalwood pedestal, conveys the sensations that can be experienced while communicating with the planet one-on-one.

And finally, Turbulences is a flight high in the clouds, the very feeling when you discover a distant country or fall in love at first sight. He is dizzy like a quick take-off: tuberose, slightly tinged with jasmine, is responsible for the intoxicating effect.
