Thanks to perfumer Celine Ellena, the brand is rethinking the composition that started its history with the release of the updated fragrance Bana Banana. Back in 1976, Jean-François Laporte - founder of L'Artisan Parfumeur - discovered that the scent of jasmine was reminiscent of ripe bananas. While experimenting, he soaked banana pieces in jasmine extract, but realized that the resulting scent lacked finesse. He told about this to fellow perfumers, and together they found a solution. Hints of pepper and amber intensify the heart notes - banana. And the bitter violet leaf, softened by nutmeg, recreates the scent of a banana peel. A rich textured accord of iris and tonka bean appears in the trail.
