But if everything were cloudless, there would be nothing to illustrate this material: an undeniably effective drug has its side.
Minoxidil is well absorbed into the bloodstream, so it is contraindicated in people with minor heart problems. In addition, it can provoke hypertrichosis: if you are not lucky, you will get a soft fluffy back in addition to a luxurious mane. Finally, it is addictive: anything grown on minoxidil will fall out as soon as you finish taking it. So this drug is usually taken for life.

But there are other molecules that can stop hair loss and stimulate new hair growth. And without side effects.
“Two later patented molecules, aminexil and stemoxidine, were created in L'Oréal laboratories, and they were the first to be used in Vichy products., - says the brand's medical expert, not without pride. - Aminexil is similar in structure to minoxidil, but this molecule rotates in the other direction, which is why it has slightly different properties. The basic idea is that for new hair to grow, the follicle must be in a low oxygen environment. L'Oréal scientists did not learn how to pump life-giving gas from the skin, but they created a molecule that can simulate a state of hypoxia. So the hair begins to think that there is little oxygen, which means that the conditions for cell division are optimal and it's time to grow.
“Aminexil and stemoxidin are usually used in combination: first, they stop hair loss first, and then return the density of hair to the second,” explains Elena. - But you should not expect an instant result: it takes at least three to four months for the hair to start growing (it does not matter, from stemoxidil, menoxidil or horse chestnut lotion). And when nothing happens for more than six months, this is already a reason to go to a trichologist: either the treatment needs to be changed, or the body has problems more serious than the raging 5-alpha reductase. If, for example, the body is chemically attacked or lacks iron, lapping will not help here."
