Cross-country skiing
The sports club with the telling name AirFit is famous for its outdoor workouts. The schedule includes Nordic walking, running, functional training, and even an activity for mothers with children in strollers. Roller skis are added to this list in summer. We propose to introduce ourselves as Alexander Bolshunov or Natalia Nepryaeva and embark on cross-country skiing. Not a problem if the last time you did it during the school "physical training" - in the classroom in Meshchersky Park, athletes of any skill level are expected (choose the appropriate group during the online registration). By the way, modern skis and poles have become super light, and boots are comfortable. An obvious plus! And if the frost outside the window makes you doubt, contact the club in advance, where they will help you choose the right equipment and not freeze even at -25 degrees.
For those who just training in the forest is not enough, you can join the charity ski race "Bitsevskiye Tyagunki" of the "Sport for Good" project. It starts on February 17th. You can register here until February 14.

Curling
The first World Curling Championships were held in Falkirk and Edinburgh in 1959. And only in 1998 it was recognized as an Olympic sport. For team spirit, go to the Moscow Curling Club. A great alternative to Saturday get-togethers with friends: the game is played by two teams of four. Five tracks, professional quality ice and all the necessary equipment are collected under one roof at the beginning of Volgogradsky Prospect. But do not rush to stand in the forefront of launching granite shells towards the "home" (target): if you are a beginner in this business, first go through the briefing, but rather spend on personal training.

Biathlon
If a few years ago it was impossible for an adult to find a biathlon section in the capital, now this one is located just a few kilometers from the Moscow Ring Road in the Planernaya Olympic Training and Sports Center. The ProBiatlon section was created by professionals in the field of biathlon and cross-country skiing Andrey Kochurov and Konstantin Perevoshchikov in 2014. The program is aimed at all ages and any level of sports training.
If you want to plunge into this sport "headlong", then ProBiatlon also organizes weekend camps. The next three-day trip is planned for February 23 to the Almaz biathlon complex in Ryazan. The basis of the training camp will be cross-country skiing and shooting training, which will differ in levels of training: coaches will help beginners to master the technique of proper skiing, and more advanced athletes will increase their skiing level and endurance. In the training program: shooting from pneumatic and firearms, a master class on the technique and rules for being at the firing line. And at the end there will be a small competition between the camp participants.
The section has a branch in St. Petersburg.
