Balenciaga presented a new collection in the format of a video game
The limitations of the coronavirus pandemic are forcing designers to invent new presentation formats. Balenciaga Creative Director Demna Gvasalia decided to create a browser-based video game "Afterworld: The Age of Tomorrow", in which you can navigate through several zones, complete special tasks and, of course, browse things from the Fall / Winter 2021/22 collection. Crinkle suits, one-shoulder raincoats, weapon-drawer bags and Sony PlayStation 5 hoodies are the result of Gvasalia's reflections on themes of post-apocalypse, futurism, virtual reality and consumer culture. In turn, the metal boots are evidence of close work with the archives of the fashion house. It is a homage to the famous leggings that current Louis Vuitton creative director Nicolas Ghesquière designed for Balenciaga in 2007.

adidas dedicated sneakers to the Gremlins
Ahead of the new year, adidas has reimagined its iconic Stan Smith with brown and beige faux fur and two-eye embroidery on the backs. Mogwai Gizmo, the protagonist of the fantastic film "Gremlins" (1984), spies on people from his sneakers. Another reference to the character is the Gore-Tex technology, which makes the shoe waterproof. The fact is that according to the plot, Gizmo could not be wetted, otherwise strange fur balls separated from him, which turned into new - not always friendly - Mogvais.
The sneakers will go on sale December 19 at the German online store 43einhalb. They will be delivered to the owner in a shoe box resembling brown paper that Gizmo used to wrap gifts for his owner.
