Designers have developed a visor that protects against the face recognition system
In May, American researchers developed a T-shirt with a print that could obfuscate digital algorithms and render a person invisible to facial recognition. Now, in addition to it, there is a black The Sportlens visor with mirrored lenses that almost completely cover the eyes, but do not interfere with peripheral vision. The developers tested the visor using commercial technology similar to that used by the police. “Even if the algorithm succeeds in recognizing the eyes, the reflections from the lenses will change the results,” they said.
Pitti Immagine Announces Dolce & Gabbana Special Event
On September 2 and 3, the Dolce & Gabbana Alta Sartoria and Alta Moda shows will take place in Florence. This was reported by representatives of the international fashion exhibition Pitti Immagine, with the support of which both events will be held.
Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana will showcase their work with a selected group of artisans, and the shows will be accompanied by visits to the brand's stores that reflect the craftsmanship and know-how of authentic Florentine traditions. The entire action will be broadcast on Dolce & Gabbana's digital platforms and the new Pitti Connect service launched by Pitti Immagine to provide access to events for those who cannot physically attend.
“We are very pleased that our next Alta Moda events will take place in Florence, a city that we love and which is more important today than ever,” commented Dolce & Gabbana designers. - Florence was the cradle of the Renaissance, "Italian", ancient wisdom that continues to influence modern culture and aesthetics. It was a dream to move our works to the most iconic places of the city. Moreover, we have been able to closely cooperate with urban artisans, who keep invaluable and eternal know-how in their workshops."
“The Dolce & Gabbana Special Event is a very optimistic message from the fashion system. This is a signal that we are working again and ready to reboot,”continued Pitti Immagine CEO Rafaello Napoleone. “It is a big part for us to host a show that, with the impeccable reputation of one of the most important Italian brands, creates a celebration of fashion, contemporary elegance, current values and cultural content that Pitti Immagine promotes and supports.”
Recall that the Pitti Immagine exhibitions themselves - Pitti Uomo for men, Pitti Super for women, Pitti Bimbo for children and Pitti Fragranze - will be held in January 2021. This was announced by the board of directors, which decided to focus on recovery from the coronavirus pandemic and the development of the digital platform Pitti Connect.

Fendi collaborates with artist Joshua Weids
Italian brand Fendi has collaborated with Californian artist Joshua Weides, who paints surfaces from sneakers to cars with just a black marker. Fendi Creative Director Sylvia Venturini Fendi was so impressed by the ease and distinctiveness with which Wides does his job that she first invited him to paint Fendi Caffe and the pop-up store Peekaboo Bar, and now - items from the pre-fall collection of the brand. The artist “painted” shirt prints, cardigan pockets, buttons for bombers and bag accessories, and also updated the FF logo, scattering it across panamas, sweatshirts and dresses. You can find all this in Fendi boutiques around the world, including in Moscow.
