Personally, I cannot imagine the summer season without massive flat sandals: they will easily fit into almost any image, they are convenient to wind kilometers around the city, they can be worn both in the country and in the office, if, of course, the dress code allows. This season, sandals with wide straps, in particular with Velcro, hit the top trends: you've probably seen a quilted, seemingly orthopedic pair of Chanel on every second blogger. Now similar models - made of leather or textiles - can be found both in other luxury brands and in the mass market. It remains to figure out what to wear them with.

Method 1.With a romantic dress
One of the key principles of stylization is combining things from two opposing visual aesthetics. In this case, rough sandals are balanced by a feminine dress - the result is an interesting and harmonious image that you want to consider. The length of the dress can vary from mini to maxi, but it is better to choose a voluminous silhouette. This will help balance the proportions.

Method 2.With a pantsuit
A great option for the office if, again, your work dress code allows open shoes. This option is suitable for both men and women. The main thing here is to choose the right suit: it should have a relaxed cut, be slightly oversized, consist of a long jacket or jacket and loose long trousers. This look will work best with a basic T-shirt, but you can also experiment with a loose, oversized shirt.

Method 3.With suit shorts
This option is similar to the previous one, but looks less formal, although in theory it does not negate the presence of a jacket (suits with shorts are another trend of the season). Shorts should also be loose, slightly square, slightly above or, conversely, just below the knee (here you should focus on the length of the legs, so as not to distort the proportions of the body). My favorite combination is with a plain alcoholic T-shirt.

Method 4.With maxi-length jeans
If you are planning to update your denim wardrobe this summer, I advise you to pay attention to models with a low or medium rise, straight or wide, but definitely - maxi lengths. Wear them in and out of town with chunky sandals, crop tops, lingerie-style tops and fine knit cropped cardigans.

Method 5.With socks
I think no one is surprised by the combination of open shoes with socks - it looks especially advantageous in the case of massive sandals with thick soles. As for the rest of the image, there are a lot of options: dresses made of cotton, silk or fine knitwear, Bermuda shorts, cropped jeans and trousers. Socks can be chosen as fine knit - with an admixture of silk, and thicker - made of wool. Everything else depends on your imagination: combine socks with sandals in contrasting or, on the contrary, similar shades, or choose things so that one of them is with a print, and the other is without.

Method 6. With sports sweatpants
The most relaxed option, which is nevertheless quite appropriate in the city. So you can dress for a walk or for evening gatherings on summer verandas. Pay attention to the cut of the sweatpants: they should not be sticky, especially in the calf area. Personally, I really like the models with wide legs without fixing elastic bands on the bottom. To make your look as comfortable as possible, complement it with an oversized T-shirt, sports top, or a cozy sweatshirt.

Method 7.With a midi-length skirt
Another example of a combination of seemingly incompatible things. With massive sandals, midi-length skirts made of light, flying fabrics look very cool - for example, silk with an oblique cut or with delicate pleating. Upstairs, you can wear something form-fitting and emphasizing the figure, or balance deliberately massive shoes with oversized clothes.

Method 8.With a shirt and trousers made of linen
A great weekend look for those who are closer to minimalism and classics. Nothing extra: loose-fitting trousers made of natural material (be careful - light linen often shines through), a relaxed half-open shirt and solid solid sandals. You can experiment with monochrome and choose clothes to match the color of your shoes.

Method 9.With voluminous shorts
Short shorts with a voluminous cut are a universal base for a summer wardrobe with many options. In the case of chunky sandals, sports shorts made of knit, denim or nylon (hello Prada) and more elegant ones, for example, made of thick silk or cotton, are suitable. Here I also propose to play in contrast and combine things from different seasons in one image: wear not a T-shirt or top, but a long sleeve shirt, a long-sleeved blouse or a voluminous sweater (ideal for cool summer nights) with shorts and sandals.

Method 10. With leggings
It is also an exercise in contrasts, but already in the context of experiments with volumes: hypertrophied massive shoes plus tight tight leggings, and then oversized again (a hoodie or sweatshirt, a T-shirt a couple of sizes larger, a jacket of a man's cut). By the way, this is a great option for those who cannot refuse skinny jeans. Now this is not the most relevant model, and leggings can serve as a relevant replacement for them.
