The first LVMH brand watch exhibition is taking place in Dubai. It is attended by the brands Hublot, Zenith and TAG Heuer, as well as the watch division of the house of Bvlgari. Traditionally, these companies presented their new products in January during the Geneva watch salon SIHH, and then within the framework of the spring show Baselworld. The shifted dates of the main watch exhibitions (in 2020 they will be held in late April - early May) forced LVMH to organize its own salon in order to demonstrate the main achievements of its watch giants at the beginning of the year.
“This is the first time Zenith has created a women's watch from scratch,” comments Julien Tornard, CEO of Zenith. We are talking about the new sports ladies' models Defy Midnight in a steel case with a diameter of 36 mm and an automatic Elite caliber. The dark blue or gray dial with smooth color transitions represents the night starry sky above the endless horizon. Among the scattering of celestial bodies, the relief star Zenith shines brightest. The self-winding rotor is also made in a characteristic shape. The bezel and hour markers are lined with diamonds. The integrated steel bracelet can be independently changed to a colored leather or satin strap. Includes three extra colored straps and an exchangeable folding buckle.

The Chopard Happy Sport line has been expanded with the first astronomical model, Happy Moon. Now "lucky" diamonds move against the midnight sky, enclosed in a case of "ethical" rose gold (for more than a year Chopard has been using metals that have been mined in an extremely pure and honest way). The aventurine glass dial shows the golden constellations of the northern hemisphere, the small second at the 6 o'clock position is framed in the form of the North Star. The lunar phase indicator is located under the Chopard logo: it will require adjustment only after 122 years, when the difference between the readings and the true lunar cycle is one day. The certified in-house caliber 96.25-C with a micro-rotor is responsible for the picture of the night sky. Happy Moon released in 250 copies.

An even more complex and mesmerizing astronomical picture is clearly presented in the Rendez-vous Celestial pair, created by the Jaeger-LeCoultre watchmakers in collaboration with the masters of inlays and miniature paintings. Celestial Mechanics is controlled by the in-house self-winding caliber 809/1. At the bottom of the dial, a disk with the zodiacal constellations rotates, making a full revolution counterclockwise in 23 hours 56 minutes and 4 seconds. The sky map is painted on hand-painted mother-of-pearl, whose shades are reminiscent of the shimmering of the northern lights. The composition is completed by an iridescent bezel of 64 baguette-cut polychrome sapphires that frame the 37.5 mm pink gold case. Each of the models is presented in only 18 copies.

The effect of the night sky can be seen on the dial of the Bvlgari Divas' Dream Finissima Minute Repeater, with a shimmering aventurine dial. The case and lugs of the strap are inlaid with diamonds using the “snow” setting technique, and the charm pendant in the recognizable fan shape activates the function of sounding time.
