Yandex told what things they buy during self-isolation

Yandex specialists analyzed which goods were most popular in the spring, which the Russians spent in self-isolation. According to the data, after the increased demand for gender holidays, interest in clothes, shoes and accessories fell and stabilized only in April. Experts attribute this to warming, for which citizens have begun to prepare despite the ban on going out on the streets.

So, from April 20 to May 3, the number of requests for shoes increased by 21% compared to the previous weeks. Clothing (+ 17%), accessories (+ 5%), underwear and homewear (12%) are gaining popularity a little more slowly. Interest in sportswear approached the indicators of the beginning of March: requests increased by 24%, which, according to Yandex experts, is associated with more time for training or reasons to buy a comfortable suit for remote work. In the second half of April, interest in luxury goods also increased: requests for mentioning world fashion houses increased by 19%.

Gucci ditches seasonality

Gucci plans to hold two shows a year instead of five, and also to abandon the division of collections into spring-summer, autumn-winter, pre-season and cruise. The creative director of the Italian brand Alessandro Michele spoke about this. “I will abandon the hackneyed traditions of seasonality and show in order to return to a rhythm that is personally close to me, - commented the designer. - We will only meet twice a year to share chapters of new history. Irregular, joyful and full of freedom chapters that we will write without being tied to the rules, mixing genres and absorbing new spaces, linguistic codes and communication platforms."

When the next Gucci show will take place is still unknown. The brand will not be participating in Milan Fashion Week in September, but will showcase a project called "Epilogue" as part of Milan Digital Fashion Week on 17 July.

H&M has developed a technological fabric that keeps you cool

H&M presented a collection of clothes made from the innovative Coolmax fabric, designed specifically for the summer heat. Its principle of operation is based on the transverse weaving of fibers, which allows you to simultaneously remove moisture to the surface and allow air to pass through, thus ensuring coolness and comfort. They decided to test the technology on men's things - classic monophonic suits, shirts, T-shirts and jeans. All of them are already on sale on the H&M website.
