“The meaning of the word“self-isolation”implies responsibility, respect for each other and a very tangible change in time and space,” explain representatives of the Garage Museum of Contemporary Art, which released a T-shirt with this very word. The letter "I" is set apart from the rest of the print and applied to a small chest pocket. It is as if it imitates the four walls in which we are constantly in quarantine.
The Self-Isolation T-shirt has become a merch for the museum's project of the same name, in which it conducts live broadcasts with the participation of historians, architects and art critics, as well as publishes playlists and accumulates rare materials. At the same time, the Garage team organized the delivery of sets (of course, contactless), each of which, in addition to T-shirts, contains books, diffusers, candles, jewelry and board games in a specific topic - both esoteric and the topic of the day.

“Eat, sleep, arrange a rave, repeat,” reads the inscription on a T-shirt from the Vetements spring-summer collection, although, I confess, we do all this in quarantine and without her. The thing can be called spirit-lifting not only because of the slogan, but also because of the color: hot pink contrasts with the oppressive gray environment in the world, sobering, relieving tension and relieving melancholy. The same functions are performed by other novelties of Vetements: for example, with the words "Freedom to unicorns" and "Happiness hardcore".

Moschino creative director Jeremy Scott made a t-shirt with imitation of correspondence long before the coronavirus pandemic and quarantine. However, taking into account the current events, it acquires a completely new, not so romantic subtext. The question "Are you home alone?" today it can be asked by someone who controls the violation of the self-isolation regime, or someone who is trying to break through to visit, despite the ban.

Some designers, on the other hand, deliberately make clothes dictated by global problems, forming such a concept as event marketing. They can be accused of empty hype, however, it is impossible to deny that the resulting things look nice, positive and ironic. What are the T-shirts from the Moscow brand Kirill Karavaev with the situational inscriptions “Let's go after quarantine”, “Atlant has stocked buckwheat” and “I want a Pecheneg”, which look especially impressive in one look with the reusable masks “Filter bazaar”, “Everything will pass” and "For bread".

Stella McCartney, the main promoter of conscious fashion, has released a series of T-shirts with predictions: "Your dream will come true", "You will have a romantic evening", "You will make a difference for the better." They perfectly cheer up not only the wearer, but also all those with whom he meets within the apartment or at parties in Zoom: I want to believe that our dreams of the imminent end of quarantine will really come true, and the changes that we make to our usual daily life will give its fruits.

Chloé Creative Director Natasha Ramsay-Levy invites you to cope with difficulties with the grace and dignity of French women. This is emphasized not only by the print on the T-shirt, but also by the materials from which it is made. Lightweight jersey based on fine cotton, developed with mercerizing technology. Thanks to special processing and tight twisting of the fibers, the fabric is especially soft and feels like silk to the touch.

The Singapore-based Youths in Balaclava T-shirt, dedicated to buzzers and TikTok regulars in particular, is more relevant than ever in today's environment. In quarantine we are all “dressed up and don't go anywhere” - we dress up exclusively to cheer up, make video calls or watch theater performances, which, like other cultural events, have moved online.

T-shirts from Dolce & Gabbana 's Spring / Summer collection are adorned with retro poster prints. One depicts Marilyn Monroe, the second depicts Marlon Brando, the third depicts a pin-up model with an offer to take her to the moon or drink a mojito, and the fourth depicts the slogan "Great day for a love session", uniting all the things from the series and offering hardly is not the best way to spend time in quarantine.

The oversized print on the Valentino T-shirt is a nod to the fashion house's archival logo, first used by its founder Valentino Garavani back in the 1970s. And the inscription “Dreamers”, which complements it, is a reminder to contemporaries exhausted by self-isolation that one should not stop dreaming despite the circumstances.
