Over the past five years, the Ferretti Group has been providing its clients with the opportunity to be the first not only to get acquainted with new products, but also to test them on the eve of the largest yacht exhibitions. And there is something to look at, after all, the holding includes eight brands: Ferretti, Pershing, Wally, Itama, Riva, Mochi Craft, CRN and Custom line. The event is traditionally held in the Monaco Yacht Club, with which the holding has long-standing warm relations. On the upper deck of the club house, reminiscent of a huge cruise ship, built just five years ago by the design of Norman Foster, is the Riva Lounge, which offers a fantastic and perhaps the best view of the port of Hercule. It was here that selected clients of the holding were invited, who could take a look at the 25 yachts moored for viewing.
The Ferretti fleet was the perfect backdrop for the main event of the evening - the concert of Lionel Richie, who performed all his hits, including the Grammy-winning ones, and sounded, probably, on all dance floors of the world. By the way, few people know, but "We Are The World", where all the stars of the 80s were noted, is also his. Moreover, it must be said that Richie, who celebrated his 70th birthday this year, is still in excellent shape and has such a frenzied energy that no one, including Prince Albert II of Monaco, could sit still. Actor Samuel L. Jackson and basketball player Magic Johnson were also spotted in the VIP sector.

"Is It Me You're Looking For?" - if the yachts could sing, they would definitely pick up these words from the old hit. Of the 25 yachts on the pier, there were six premieres: Riva Dolceriva, Custom Line 106, Ferretti Yachts 720, Riva 90'Argo, Pershing 8X, 48 Wallytender. All of them can be seen at the exhibition in Cannes until September 15th.
The Ferretti Group shipyards produce a wide variety of vessels in terms of size and purpose, from open tenders (a vessel on board a larger vessel serving for landings) and day cruisers (a motorboat with a cabin) to 80m superyachts. The largest of the new products is the 32-meter Custom Linedesigned by Francesco Paczkowski, renowned for superyacht work. This clarification is especially important given that the average size of the boats on which Francesco most often implements his ideas is 40-50 meters. The designer got used to other requests, but in this case Paczkowski and the shipyard engineers managed to implement their ideas on a smaller yacht. Actually, this is the main trend of recent years: the comfort and space of large yachts can be realized on a smaller size. The new yacht has four decks, while the outer hull lines do not seem bulky at all. The space of 220 square meters is also impressive. m. Huge cockpit, flybridge, main saloon with more than 3/4 windows, master suite on the main deck - all this could be seen on superyachts before.

The same trends can be seen on the new 27-meter Riva Argo. The Riva brand is the pearl of the Ferretti Group portfolio. Riva is one of the oldest shipyards in Italy, founded in 1842. She became legendary thanks to wooden pleasure boats, which became fashionable in the middle of the 20th century. They were featured in films ("There are only girls in jazz"), they were loved by Brigitte Bordeaux and the Onassis family, they became one of the visual symbols of the Italian "dolce vita". Today, the shipyard continues this tradition, still creating some of the most elegant pleasure boats that are immediately collectible. At the same time, Riva has been creating large yachts such as Argo for a long time. The flagship of the range is the 50-meter superyacht, the first hull of which was presented this summer in Venice.

The fastest new addition to the fleet is the Pershing 8X, a carbon marvel with a sporty aerodynamic profile. The 25-meter yacht is capable of accelerating to 45 knots. At the same time, this is a very comfortable and spacious boat with four cabins. The new Pershing is equipped with the innovative "Music Corps" system, which allows you to enjoy music even underwater, which is important for diving enthusiasts.

Perhaps the main event of 2019 on the yacht market is the purchase of the cult Italian brand Wally by the Ferretti Group. The official presentation in Monaco was one of the first for the company within the group. The brand was created by Luca Bassani with a “modest” goal of producing the most beautiful boats on the market. Initially, under the Wally brand, sailboats were produced mainly in the "maxi" class (from 18 m in length). The boats had such an amazingly adjusted, rather aggressively "licked" hull shape that over time they became the standard for sailing yachts. Basically, Bassani created a brand like a racing car. Even now, Wally, built 10 years ago, looks completely modern. Moreover, boats remain competitive and score quite high in sailing races: Wally can often be seen at the top of the leaderboards. In 2001, the company entered the motor market, embodying the principle that was previously used in the sailing segment - to create an innovative recognizable product. And in this segment we managed to achieve the same success. In Monte Carlo, another confirmation of this could be seen - a new 14-meter Wallytender. The main idea when creating the model was to develop a boat that would be considered not only as a tender for a superyacht, but also as a separate day-cruiser. The Wallytender features a large open space with sun loungers and a dining table. The yacht is equipped with drop sides, which, while mooring, can expand the cockpit and open even more free space.
