The tonneau shape, combining oval and rectangle, has long been recognized as a Cartier classic. However, the first Cartier watch in a barrel case back in 1906 became a real challenge to the round watch tradition. Among the announced new products for 2019 are two classic large "barrels" with elegant Roman numerals Cartier Prive Tonneau Large Model and an avant-garde skeleton with a second time zone The Skeleton Dual Time Zone Tonneau - both of its crowns are decorated with sapphire cabochons.

Last February, Gifom Neri became the international ambassador of the watch brand Officine Panerai. Today the manufactory dedicates to him a special model of the new professional diving watch - the Panerai Submersible Chrono - Guillaume Néry edition. The 47mm titanium case fits comfortably on the wrist over the wetsuit with a blue rubber strap, while the textured gray dial features white phosphor markings. A chronograph (buttons located at 8 and 10 o'clock) helps to keep track of the dive time, and a unidirectional rotating bezel with an applied blue ceramic bezel allows you to calculate the remaining minutes before ascent. A special engraving is applied to the blank back cover: the autograph of the champion and the indicator of his stunning diving record in one breath - to a depth of 126 meters.

On the obverse one can see a tourbillon with a carriage in the form of a Maltese cross and indicators of the perpetual calendar; the second dial contains astronomical functions: a map of the starry sky, the equation of time, seasons and signs of the zodiac. The entire side surface of the 47 mm rose gold case is covered with a relief image of the phoenix bird. The watch exists in a single copy.

The famous chronographs Audemars Piguet, recently celebrated their 25th anniversary, dressed in camouflage. In fact, only the rubber straps of the new watches tried on camouflage colors. The automatic chronograph series has three shades: blue, brown and khaki. They feature painted dials with contrasting counters and the obligatory Méga Tapisserie check pattern, ceramic bezels and chronograph buttons, and camouflage patches on the straps. However, they are being replaced by quieter monochromatic belts of the corresponding shade. The 44 mm case is made of steel (for blue and green versions) and rose gold (for watches in brown tones). A little over 20 years ago, watchmaker and restorer Michel Parmigiani created his first modern Toric watch. Their distinctive feature is the neat hand-applied notch on the gold rim. Twenty years after the premiere, Parmigiani Fleurier presented an updated version of the Toric Chronomètre, and in November 2018 the company released a watch with a new original "face". The dial in a natural slate shade is decorated with guilloche. “This pattern is eye-catching because it is built on the principle of the golden ratio,” comments Michelle Parmigiani. The decor of the new clock resembles the scales of a pine cone, also arranged along two Fibonacci spirals. The red gold case houses the automatic caliber PF441 with the COSC certificate.

The novelty of 2019 continues the cooperation between Roger Dubuis and the Italian automobile concern Lamborghini, which began two years ago. The in-house caliber RD630 has a 12-degree balance that evokes the architecture of a Lamborghini engine. The skeletonized dial features the air intake grilles of the Huracàn Performante, and the crown resembles the nuts on the wheels of a car. The 45mm case is made of titanium.

The new Jaeger-LeCoultre watch strikes with a special deep blue dial. Two artistic techniques were used to finish the dial - the art of guilloche and enamel. The entire decor is done exclusively by hand: first, a geometric pattern is applied, which is then covered with translucent blue enamel. The lunar phase indicator at 6 o'clock is decorated in the same way. The 39 mm steel case is just over one centimeter thick: the automatic in-house caliber 925, which controls the three hands and the phase display for the earth satellite, is classified as thin. Therefore, each of the 100 watches looks particularly elegant on the wrist.

The iconic Laureato model with its distinctive octagonal bezel has been given a perpetual calendar function. The in-house automatic caliber GP01800-0033 will only need to be adjusted once every hundred years. All indications are located on a blue dial with a Parisian nails decor, and in an unusual way. The circular day and date indicators are not symmetrical, and the red hand of the month indicator (similar to a smiling mouth) is shifted to the 5 o'clock position. The function of the day of the week is adjusted with a button at 8 o'clock, all other functions are controlled by the crown.

The novelty of the Hermès watch division is addressed to the female audience. It plays up two aesthetic codes of the house: the square cape Code body, inscribed in a rectangle (first appeared in 1991), and the motif of the anchor chain, invented by Robert Dumas back in 1938. The intertwined links are depicted on the dial in white or black lacquer: in the white version, the decor is lined with mother of pearl, in the dark one - black spinel and shimmering aventurine. Steel case 29x29 mm decorated with diamonds around the perimeter. A true ladies' accessory, the watch is equipped with a Hermès leather strap with one or two turns.>
