The new model La Prima or The First in Italian refers to 1995, when Giorgio Armani presented the first bag of his brand. “As the name suggests, La Prima was my first adventure in the complex but fascinating world of accessories,” the designer tells The Telegraph. "I studied it for a long time to make a functional and sophisticated, feminine, but not too romantic bag."
According to the designer, he also followed the desires of clients who wanted a universal accessory for every day, at the same time, able to complement an evening look. The result is a design inspired by the company's signature blazers, with rounded edges, pleats and darts that add volume and flow to the lines. The bag combines elegance and laconism, masculine and feminine - and the result is the perfect balance inherent in Armani's things.

The new La Prima is presented in six variants at once. The classic model is available in two sizes - standard and large - in addition to two tote bags and two clutches. All accessories are made from different types of leather, for example, from soft calf palmellato (hand-pebbled), alligator or lizard leather. Evening clutches are also presented in silk and lacquer variations. Each model is created using both modern technologies (for example, applying a digital turtle pattern to patent leather) and traditional sewing methods known only to Italian craftsmen. Some details are made entirely by hand. The color palette of La Prima includes 11 shades: from pure white and sky blue to scarlet and inky blue.>
