Capri Chanel
Chanel creative director Virginie Viard planned to show the cruise collection on the island of Capri, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, she did it online with the help of a Julien Puyol short. A reminder of the Italian island was denim trousers of the same name, which came in one look with a cropped top, sandals with thin straps and a scarf tied around the waist. Capri pants remind us not only of a holiday in the Mediterranean, but also of the fashion of the 2000s: then they were chosen (and elevated to a cult) by Jennifer Lopez, Gwen Stefani, Christina Aguilera and Rihanna.

Christian Dior rug skirt
The Christian Dior team decided to wait for the relaxation of restrictions and held a show in the Italian city of Lecce in the Puglia region - the place where the father of the creative director of the brand Maria Grazia Chiuri was born, grew up and worked. During the planning phase of the cruise collection, the designer visited local artisans, including the agriculture center and the Fondazione Le Costantine textile studio. The collaboration resulted in sundresses, skirts and suits made of patterned fabric, which is usually used in the production of carpets, as well as a Miss Dior dress with flowers made in the old tombola embroidery technique.

Jackie bag 1961, Gucci
During the quarantine, Gucci rethought its approach to the production and presentation of collections: now the Italian brand's shows will be held twice a year and include clothes for both men and women. The new collection, called Epilogue, is the concluding part of the story, which began with the February show of An Unrepeatable Ritual, in which models were prepared to enter the catwalk right in front of the audience, and continued with the advertising campaign of The Ritual in May, for which the heroes photographed themselves. The final act of the fairy tale was broadcast on the Gucci sites for 12 hours - that is how long the filming of the lookbook lasted. Most of the 133 shots show the reprinted Jackie 1961 bag, which the fashion house first introduced in 1961 and soon named after US First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy. In the new season, the accessory will be available not only in the traditional medium size, but also in a large one: it seems that even an inflatable ring and a tennis racket can fit there.

Versace chain mules
The chain is the most popular item in today's fashion. Designers suggest wearing it around the neck, waist, arm or leg - as a necklace, bracelet, belt, print or bag accessories. Not a single look in the lookbook of the new Versace cruise collection can do without a massive chain: Donatella Versace uses it both as an independent accessory and for decorating square toe sandals, loafers with animal print, slippers that have long been not ashamed to be combined with socks, and mules, perhaps the most tendentious summer shoes.

Jil Sander cushion
The quarantine has ended, but the desire not to leave the house remains. This is exactly what Luke and Lucy Meyer of Jil Sander reflected by combining architectural blazers, asymmetrical skirts, minimalist dresses and other wardrobe items that we loved to wear until lockdown, with baggy trousers, silk shirts and coats that did not crawl out during it. … One of the coziest things in the new collection, which can soften the return to normal life, is a pearl shade cape. It resembles either a blanket, or several pillows fastened together.

Victoria Beckham Cuffed Jeans
If earlier it was considered the prerogative of young girls and guys to tuck jeans, leaving bare ankles to the delight of the biting frost, nowadays adults, self-sufficient, fashionable women - the audience of the Victoria Beckham brand - go this way. The new resort collection features trousers with cuffs so wide that they seem to be able to store and carry items like in a bag.

Balmain Rectangular Bag
Now designers are competing to create not the smallest or largest bag in the world, but the longest. Competitors include Y / Project, Jil Sander, Lanvin, Valentino and Balmain. And the latter, who dedicated the collection to the films "Pretty Woman" and "Clueless" and the TV series "Dynasty", "The Prince of Bel Air" and "Beverly Hills 90210", takes not only the size of the bag, but also its shine. It is achieved through golden, as if vintage fittings with an engraving "Balmain Paris".

Cecilie Bahnsen Oversized Dress
Dresses from the finalist of LVMH Prize - 2017 Cecile Bansen, who worked at the Danish Royal Theater and collaborated with the fashion houses of John Galliano and Christian Dior, in instagram capacity are not inferior to the chiffon dresses of caramel colors from Molly Goddard. Airy, oversized and infantile, but at the same time combined with futuristic sneakers or rough boots (the designer strives to ensure that her dresses are worn “on the street, not just for special occasions”), they are also made from recycled materials. The fabrics remained after the creation of previous collections and literally saved the Cecilie Bahnsen company, which found itself in difficult conditions due to quarantine.

Balenciaga Hotel Slippers
Demna Gvasalia stylized the lookbook of the previous off-season collection to resemble the pages of a photobank with a Balenciaga watermark, and this time presented it in the form of an online store catalog with a description of the composition and an item number. Among them are multi-colored plastic beads, shirts with newspaper prints, shoppers depicting tourist locations, and branded soft slippers similar to those handed out in hotels. This is not the first time the designer suggests going out for a walk in slippers (only old-school plaid slippers debuted in December 2019), combining it with a white T-shirt, a striped suit and an oversized denim coat.

Off-White Perforated Toe Shoes
Virgil Abloh, founder of Off-White, announced that the brand's men's and women's collections will now be developed in the same studio. Visually, this is reflected both in similar lookbooks and in similar stylistic techniques: an emphasis on the waist, hypertrophied shoulders, a shortened length and numerous cuts. The designer makes holes not only in dresses, trousers and bags, as he did in previous spring-summer and autumn-winter collections, but also multi-colored ankle boots with heels. The casual look of the shoe is balanced by other elements of the look: a double-breasted jacket, a blank shirt and a pencil skirt.
