Jerome Lambert, until April 1, 2017 CEO of Montblanc, from April 1 - COO (Chief Operating Officer) of the entire Richemont Group, head of the non-hour business
“I am no longer the captain of the ship, now I am the admiral of the fleet. I will be responsible for what the COO is usually responsible for: service, logistics, work with suppliers. In addition, I will continue to pursue the Montblanc brand, including its watch business: I will definitely devote one day a month to it. In addition, I will be responsible for brands such as Purdey, Shanghai Tang, Chloé, Dunhill, Alaïa, Lancel. I have been working in the group for a long time, I am loyal to Richemont and Johan Rupert, for obvious reasons I could not refuse the position offered to me. But why do I personally need this? This is the kind of person I am - I love complex tasks and new challenges."

Piaget Altiplano
For the Swiss house Piaget, the 60th anniversary of the iconic Altiplano line marks 60 years of impeccable style, watchmaking and outstanding records in the creation of ultra-thin movements. The jubilee year for the Altiplano line opened with two models with a blue dial, on which the historical Piaget logo is reproduced (the Automatic inscription in retro style distinguishes the watch with the automatic 1200P caliber). The line was supplemented by models of bright festive colors, and on each dial there is a gradual transition from a lighter tone in the center to a darker shade along the outer edge. Women's watches with a diameter of 34 mm got a bright pink color, a men's Altiplano with a diameter of 40 mm with a new 1203P movement was painted in bright blue, chocolate and pine green colors.

For the first time in the history of the Altiplano collection, there is a model with a tourbillon. The Piaget 670P ultra-thin hand-wound movement with flying tourbillon is only 4.6 mm thick. The dial is made using the flinqué technique: a guilloche pattern is applied to a gold disc, which is then covered with several layers of transparent enamel and subsequently fired. All models from the anniversary collection are limited editions.

Panerai LAB-ID
The revolutionary model based on the Luminor 1950 watch is presented in a 49 mm case from the carbotec patented two years ago. The main ingredient in the new concept watches is carbon, which can form innovative materials with useful properties. Carbon fiber sheets are sintered with an organic polymer to form a carbotec composite. A layer of carbon nanotubes on the dial absorbs light and makes it completely black. But the main revolution took place under this black dial - the P3001 / C caliber operates on just four jewels and does not require additional lubrication. The bridges and plates are made of a tantalum-based ceramic composite with a low coefficient of friction. A silicon escapement and DLC-coated gear mechanism eliminated the need for lubrication of the main working unit of the mechanism. All these new technologies have increased the watch warranty. Panerai LAB-ID under 50.

Table clock Automate Fée Ondine, Van Cleef & Arpels

The unique object, which took seven long years to develop, embodied the entire poetic universe of the jewelry and watch house. The ebony case contains a sophisticated clock mechanism that shows the time - the only indicator, moreover, retrograde, is a tiny ladybug weighing less than 5 g of gold and rubies in the technique of invisible setting, which moves along a 12-hour scale with divisions. The sculptural composition located on top is set in motion with a special key. The enamel fragments of the green leaf of the water lily move up and down, the lily flowers open their petals, a butterfly with opal wings flutters out of the middle of a large flower, a fairy sitting nearby raises its head, spreads its shoulders and flaps its wings from rainbow cloisonné enamel. Its head is carved from a huge faceted aquamarine, which has been shaped into a human face.
We can only admire how many artisans of various specialties worked on this masterpiece - enamellers, jewelers, cabinetmakers, cutters, engineers, watchmakers. And while the jewelry house Van Cleef & Arples is in no hurry to part with its most complex mechanical miracle - after the exhibition in Geneva, the unique piece will return to Place Vendome.

The Palexpo Exhibition Complex was visited by Hollywood actor Pierce Brosnan, who has been the ambassador of the Speak-Marin watch brand since 2015. The acquaintance with its founder, Peter Speak-Marin, took place a little earlier: Peter advised the actor for the role of the hitman named Watchmaker in the movie "Survivor". In the latest campaign, Brosnan poses in Speak-Marin's most elegant watch - Resilience, with an enamel dial.>
