Every year, the creative team of TSUM works on window dressing for the New Year, drawing inspiration from literally everywhere: from fashion shows to cinema. This time, the artists and decorators turned to the plots of the famous fairy tales of the peoples of the world, which they interpreted in the most unusual way. Here, the Beast, dressed for the ball, is bored, waiting for his Beauty, who just won't finish dressing up, and the Atamansha from the Musicians of Bremen, who changed her cards to a crystal ball and books on astrology. In neighboring showcases, Little Red Riding Hood and the Gray Wolf are making small talk and drinking English tea with a biscuit cake, and the Little Mermaid, the victim of an unhappy love from Andersen's fairy tale, tries herself in the role of a fatal beauty.
36 plots, including fairy tales such as Andersen's Snowman, Hansel and Grettel by the Brothers Grimm, The Nutcracker and the Mouse King by Hoffmann, The Adventures of Pinocchio by Rodari, Jack and the Beanstalk, The Old Shoe, The Cat in boots”,“Why the month has no dress”and many others that have adorned the shop windows of TSUM are the result of laborious and meticulous work of decorators, sculptors and department store artists, where every detail is made by hand. Showcases are complemented by mannequins dressed in items from the autumn-winter collections of clothes and accessories, presented in the department store at "Milan prices".
“The first showcases created by TSUM were New Year's, so they are special for us, ” Alla Verber, vice president of Mercury and fashion director of the department store, commented on the opening of showcases for. - This year, festive showcases were decorated with stories from the "fairy tales of the peoples of the world": The Little Mermaid, The Adventures of Pinocchio, Little Muk, The Bremen Town Musicians and many others. We believe that these magic showcases will help both adults and children to feel the atmosphere of the holiday, to believe that all their dreams will come true!"
For the opening of New Year's window displays for the 2016-2017 season, presents a retrospective of festive decorations created by the creative team of the department store for TSUM windows since 2008.
