Jacob Arabo presented the next Billionaire watch worth $ 7 million. For the first time in watchmaking, he used stones of the rare Ashoka cut, distinguished by an amazing brilliance. This type of diamond cut was patented in 1999 by the outstanding jeweler William Goldberg, who also named it in honor of one of the Indian rulers of the Mauryan empire. It is incredibly difficult to achieve the perfect rectangular silhouette with 62 facets and rounded corners, only 1% of natural diamonds can be cut this way. At the same time, visually, the Ashoka-cut stone looks much larger than an emerald-cut diamond of the same carat.
The Billionaire Ashoka watch uses 290 diamonds of the same cut: 38 adorn the white gold case measuring 53 x 40 mm, another 252 stones are inlaid with a bracelet. Even the hour markers are lined with baguette-cut diamonds. A skeletonized JCAM23 tourbillon movement is placed in the center of the luxurious composition. There is only one watch worth $ 7 million. However, this is not the most expensive watch: in 2015, Jacob Arabo demonstrated a $ 18 million Billionaire set with emerald-cut diamonds weighing 260 carats.
