The fact that it was Abloh who actually replaced Ricardo Tisci, who worked with Nike for more than three years, has its own irony: it was Virgil who was prophesied to be the successor of the Italian as creative director of Givenchy. The place was eventually taken by the Englishwoman Claire Waight Keller, but the founder of the Off-White brand had no time to be sad: he, as it turned out (or rather, it was confirmed: rumors of a partnership appeared back in May, when the designer came to Nike at the Ball of the Costume Institute), worked on his debut collection for the sports brand, called The Ten - according to the number of legendary models that Abloh decided to transform.

Virgil also joked: they say, touching ten cult things at once is natural suicide. But the game was worth the candle: sneakerheads and just lovers of cooperation between brands are ready to line up for pairs of Air Jordan 1, Air Max 90, Air Max 97, Blazer, Hyperdunk, Air Force 1, Converse Chuck Taylor, AirVaporMax, Air Presto and Zoom. VaporFly, adorned with red cable ties and unmistakable lettering.
But the agility will have to be tempered: the shoes will first be shown during New York Fashion Week, and after that they will be sent to the shops. The collection will appear in Moscow in November and will be exclusively presented at TSUM (there is no information on prices yet, but it will certainly be announced closer to the start of sales).>
