Deck teak and canvas were first used in a Hublot watch last summer, when the Big Bang Unico Teak Italia Independent was released in collaboration with Lapo Elkan. The choice of theme is not accidental: the grandfather of the Fiat heir was fond of yachting. It was Gianni Agnelli who created the first Italian racing team to take part in the prestigious America's Cup regatta, and kevlar and carbon were widely used in the Stealth yacht built by his order. The 2018 model had a 45mm case in signature King Gold and platinum and was finished in red and orange - the new 2019 in blue tones is made of titanium.

The striking teak bezel is secured by six titanium screws. The strap is cut from Kevlar sail and has a blue rubber base. The watch continues to be powered by the automatic chronograph caliber HUB1242 with a 72-hour power reserve. The series is also limited to 100 pieces and is priced at 22,900 Swiss francs.
The Defy Classic Mykonos Edition in Elite caliber is produced in a limited edition of 25 pieces and is dedicated to an island in the Aegean Sea. The blue and white color scheme is inspired by the Greek flag. The 41 mm case and bezel are made of bright blue ceramic, the skeletonized dial and indexes are also blue. Contrasted with them are the white inner flange and the snow-white central second hand.

For this Zenith series, there are dedicated white and blue rubber straps with a cobblestone pattern similar to the streets of a Greek island. Not surprisingly, the resort novelty can be purchased exclusively from the Gofas retailer in Mykonos. Its price is € 7900.>
