For almost a century, mankind has been struggling to make watches waterproof, suitable for life under water. For this, a screwed back cover, thick glass, and a helium valve were invented in due time. There is also a list of criteria that must be met by a watch going to "do" diving - the so-called set of international standards ISO 6425 … Among the main requirements: the presence of a counterclockwise rotating bezel (allows you to calculate the time when you need to start surfacing) and markings with a luminescent coating, the case must withstand pressure at least at a depth of 100 m, the aggressive effects of salt water during the day and instant temperature drops, and also be protected from magnetic fields up to 4800 A / m. Observing all the technical details, watchmakers manage to make diving models a first-class accessory.
Blue
As a rule, diving watches are designed in the shades of the deep sea and have beautiful dials with luminescent markings. The depth in parentheses is the depth to which the body remains tight.
