Jewelry transformers have long settled in jewelry collections, and not only high jewelery. A few years ago, the metamorphoses were rather mechanical: long sautoirs fell apart into short necklaces and a pair of bracelets, and detachable pendants turned into independent brooches. Now designers need a lot of sleight of hand to transform a thing in one move, ideally beyond recognition.

The main way to change the ring is to rotate the center piece to the other side. In Carrera y Carrera Aqua jewelery paisley is lined with onyx, and from the inside - with white mother-of-pearl. The Montblanc star in the 4810 Signet ring turns from polished gold to mother-of-pearl. Rhinestone is used in Garrard Enchanted Palace jewelry: on one side of the ring its fragments alternate with diamonds, on the other - with blue sapphires.

Van Cleef & Arpels' jewelers have invented a secret turning mechanism to change the configuration of jewelry elements: instead of pavé, an onyx crescent is formed from diamonds and vice versa. In general, the entire high collection of Le Secret is dedicated to transformers. One of the most spectacular is the Seraphita volumetric ring, in which the central part can be replaced: a diamond will replace the blue sapphire, and the meaning of the engraved dictum will change on the underside of the shank, as if by magic.

Stephen Webster used the same change of the “inner” ring at Magnipheasant: a thin ring with a ruby, sapphire or emerald can be inserted inside the structure of diamond feathers.

Another trick is jewelry lids. They are actively used in the Piaget house. It is necessary to slightly or completely take the lid to the side - and the ring already adorns not one finger, but the whole hand. Dior's Victoire de Castellane also adores jewelry boxes - remember her famous Coffret de Victoire line. The new Dior à Versailles, côté Jardins ring can be fitted with a tiny talisman.

Boucheron has one of the most complex transformers. It looks like everything is arranged "the old fashioned way": seven parts are gradually detached from the necklace in the form of a huge snowflake - a ring, earrings, three hair ornaments, a brooch and a brooch. As a result, decorative elements remain only at the front. The Flocon Imperial construction is made of clear rock crystal with diamonds embedded inside.

The architectural creations of Alessio Boschi are best viewed through a magnifying glass, so that not a single detail escapes attention. The Colosseum ring from the Precious Journey collection does not just reproduce an antique amphitheater in miniature: the designer preserves the figures in the arched openings, the decor of the columns, the inscriptions discovered by archaeologists and even the sculpture of the legendary she-wolf who nursed Romulus and Remus. At the same time, a spectacular piece of jewelry can be worn on the hand, the central stone in it can be turned upside down.>
