The parrots are part of the famous Boucheron bestiary. Their sculptural images, studded with multicolored sapphires, appear not only in Nuri rings and necklaces, but also adorn the jewelry watches of the same name with a tiny mother-of-pearl dial.

Mademoiselle Privé Coromandel Glyptique and Mademoiselle Privé Coromandel Flying Birds, Chanel

The round black onyx dial serves as the perfect backdrop for the Chanel miniatures in the style of the Chinese lacquer screens, a favorite of Mademoiselle herself. In the Glyptigue model, the figurine of a bird is made using the technique of carving on rhodonite and Cuban shell. In the Flying Birds watch, birds of paradise are sculptures in the signature Beige gold.

Lady Compliquée, Fabergé

The movement of this sophisticated ladies' watch was developed by the independent watchmaker Jean-Marc Wiederrecht: the peacock's opening tail serves as a retrograde minute hand. This model won the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Geneve last year. The new models are made in three versions: with black sapphires, emeralds and rubies.

The Charming Bird, Jaquet Droz

Under the dome made of sapphire glass is an automaton in the form of a singing bird. Moreover, the sound is extracted not due to vibrations, but due to the compression of air passing through three microscopic tubes using a piston. The most complicated mechanics of The Charming Bird exist in only eight timepieces.

The cardinal bird (Cardinal Carmin), the indigo hummingbird (Colibri Indigo) and the kingfisher (Martin-Pêcheur Azur) are made using the technique of incrustation of colored stones and feather marquetry - the mosaic was made by the famous master Nelly Saunier. Each of the three models was released in the amount of 22 pieces.
