French house Cartier, headquartered in rue de la Paix, a two-minute walk from Place Vendome, prefers to showcase its precious masterpieces away from the bustle of the world - and apart from other jewelry brands. For the second year in a row, the Cartier Private Client Dinner has been held on the French Riviera. It is here that most of the unique jewelry finds their customers, without even having time to register on the pages of glossy magazines, not to mention the windows of boutiques. The latest Cartier high jewelery collection was also presented in this format.with a simple and humble name Magicien. Just as a short, capacious word has absorbed many meanings ("magician", "magician", "sorcerer"), the collection of jewelry Magicien was the embodiment of magic in jewelry art. Of course, not black at all, but light, shining with large diamonds and rare precious stones - Colombian emeralds, Ceylon sapphires, green beryls, rubellites.

The collection is divided into three parts. First, Magie Lumiere ("Magic of light") is a subtle play of reflections and light and shade. In the Magie Blanche set, transparent light brown diamonds of large sizes are combined with milky-matte natural pearls, and in the Paillettes Solaires necklace with a spherical, dandelion-like pendant, rose-cut diamonds and briolette clusters are adjacent to each other, yellow diamonds shine inside the sphere …

The second, Magie du Réel ("Magic of reality") - revived natural forms that have acquired precious flesh. The sacred feathered serpent of the Aztecs, Quetzal, according to legend, connecting heaven and earth, became the prototype of the Quetzal jewels: a flexible scaly necklace of diamonds and black lacquer hugs a huge rubellite in the shape of a "pillow" weighing 68.82 carats. The set also includes a Toi et Moi bracelet with rubellites and fashionable ear cuffs that frame the ear along the entire height.

The magical mandrake root inspired Cartier jewelers to create the Mandragore necklace made of plant-based stones: among the chrysoberyl and tsavorite beads, a blue-green sapphire weighing 4.61 carats and two pear-shaped green beryls weighing 79.38 carats stand out.

Finally, the most impressive chapter is Magie Dessin ("The Magic of Drawing"), which could be more accurately described as "Magic of Design". It unites virtuoso jewelry transformers: the items seem to magically change their configuration, and the same gem moves between items from the jewelry set. The Incantation necklace is composed of elements of different lengths that can be turned over to change the length and fit of the jewel. As a final touch, a large cushion-cut Ceylon sapphire is attached to the necklace. The 22.84-carat removable stone can also be placed in the setting of the Incantation ring by an ingenious mechanism.

Another spectacular transformer is an evening clutch made of black silk satin with gold plating. The chain over the shoulder and the crocodile-shaped jewelry lock can be unfastened and worn as independent jewelry - a necklace and a brooch.
