The watch brand Longines has been acting as the official partner and timekeeper of the French Open for ten years. In 2015, the brand launched the Conquest 1 / 100th Roland Garros high-precision chronograph. A reliable quartz caliber in a steel case was responsible for the precise indications of the chronograph hand, which measures hundredths of a second. The cool anthracite face of the watch was enlivened by dynamic orange markings reminiscent of the signature terracotta clay tennis courts. In the year of a decade of cooperation with Roland Garros, the brand presents the elegant Conquest Roland Garros chronograph for women in a steel 36 mm case that can measure tenths of a second.

A year ago, pictures of Novak Djokovic, Serbian tennis player, winner of the Roland Garros-2016 tournament, in which he kisses the silver cup, flew around the world. On his left wrist there is an Astron, Seiko watch. The athlete and the watch brand have been partners for more than three years (recently, the cooperation was extended for another four years), during which time Djokovic managed to appear in advertising campaigns for high-tech Astron, brutal Prospex and elegant Premier. But for himself, he chooses Astron, although he never goes to court in them.

The design of the new Astron watch from the Novak Djokovic Limited Edition series suggests that it is dedicated to the tennis player: the case back is decorated with his autograph, the names of the cities where Grand Slam tournaments are held on the bezel, and the pattern on the dial reproduces the way the grass court is cut. The current championship was unsuccessful for Djokovic: in the quarterfinals he lost to the Austrian Dominik Tim.

In the semifinals of the current tournament, the Austrian tennis player will meet with another Grand Slam winner - Rafael Nadal. In addition to his record nine victories at Roland Garros, the Spaniard is proud of his collaboration with the watch house Richard Mille (since 2010). Another novelty RM 27-03 Rafael Nadal with a tourbillon turned out to be bright and extraordinary as always. The case is made of TPT quartz and the finest layers of silicon in 45 microns, dyed with polymers, received the rich yellow-red color of the Spanish flag. The winding and setting of the time is carried out using the torque crown made of the same TPT quartz, which is shaped like a tennis ball. The limited edition has only 50 pieces.

Only a few days are left until the final matches - Roland Garros-2017 ends on June 11. On this day, the Suzanne Lenglen Cup and the Musketeers Cup will be awarded to the winners in the women's and men's singles. The awards were made by the craftsmen of the oldest Parisian jewelry house Mellerio, and the Louis Vuitton brand for the first time created special cases for honorary awards. They are made according to all the rules of high luggage art: finished with monogrammed canvas, equipped with brass locks and corner plates. The interior upholstery resembles the color of terracotta earthen courts on which athletes compete. “With a track record of delivering prestigious World Cups in football, rugby and sailing to the most remote corners of the globe, today we are proud to join the 2017 Roland Garros,” commented Michael Burke, CEO of Louis Vuitton.
