For the staging of the debut show of the KENZO x H&M collection, held yesterday in New York, the team of the Swedish giant managed to get the production director of photographer and illustrator Jean-Paul Goode, famous for his videos for the legendary Grace Jones. The choreography of the show itself, conceived as a dance show, is the imagination of choreographer Ryan Heffington, best known for his work with singer Sia. A psychedelic corps de ballet of dancers, beatboxers, trumpeters and musicians perfectly embodied the spirit and energy of the collection, leaving in awe of its creators - KENZO creative directors Carol Lim and Humberto Leon. “Tonight is a celebration of everything we love so much about KENZO x H&M- fun, exciting energy and fireworks of unexpected emotions! It was an unforgettable sight! " - they admitted.
“The launch of the KENZO x H&M collection was a truly enchanting show. One can only marvel at how this collection came to life during the show, with its incredible prints, colors and energy. It is a great honor for us that the legendary Jean-Paul Goode became the director of the show, who managed to perfectly convey the essence and mood of the collection,”said Ann-Sophie Johansson, Creative Consultant at H&M.
The KENZO x H&M collection will appear in over 250 H&M stores worldwide and will also be available online on November 3.>
