It is assumed that the new service, designed in the profile feed into a separate blog, will allow users to look "behind the scenes" of the people they follow. "With Instagram Stories, you don't need to think about posting too much content," an Instagram spokesperson quoted the Telegraph as saying, "Stories will allow you to share all the moments of your life, not just those that you want to keep in your profile forever." …
You can post videos to Stores up to ten seconds long and only photos in portrait orientation. Only those videos and pictures that were taken no more than a day ago can be uploaded to "Stories".
Like Snapchat, Stores has drawing tools: you can, for example, write text on a photo before publishing, or, say, paint on a mustache. The traditional editing functions for the application have not gone anywhere: filters, sliders for manual adjustment and image parameters. The resulting photo can either be uploaded in the traditional way, or put on a timer: it will automatically disappear from the profile after a day.
Stories will be available to residents of Russia today at 17:00 Moscow time: it will appear in the Instagram client after the update.>
