The novelty runs on Android Wear, so it is compatible with both Android smartphones and iPhone. Tambour Horizon is available in three case designs and the watch strap collection consists of 60 options.
Louis Vuitton is positioning the Tambour Horizon as a watch for a young and mobile audience accustomed to traveling a lot. Therefore, Tambour Horizon will be loaded with Louis Vuitton travel guides and the My Flight flight planner app by default.
One of the key features of the new watch is the function of automatic switching between the global and Chinese versions of programs. Since Google services do not work in China, many tourists in this country are forced to use unfamiliar and unusual Asian counterparts of popular programs. As Louis Vuitton CEO Michael Burke noted in an interview with Business of Fashion, Tambour Horizon solves this problem in an unusual way: if, for example, you fly from Paris to Shanghai, then upon landing, the watch will independently determine the user's location and automatically reboot into "Chinese" a mode in which all applications will continue to work despite the restrictions. This is the world's first smartwatch with this functionality.

The rest of the device's capabilities are obviously similar to those offered by Android Wear: they will include fitness functions (like tracking the number of steps and calories burned), managing notifications, listening to music through wireless headphones, and so on.
The Tambour Horizon is priced at $ 2,511, and the strap will cost $ 303. Louis Vuitton will ship worldwide watches.>
