The Solarin presentation, developed by the Israeli company Sirin Labs, took place on Tuesday in the prestigious Marylebone district of London. Actors Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hardy were seen in the forefront, CNN reports. The smartphone running on the Android platform is intended for the successful and wealthy: the starting price of the new product is about $ 14 thousand. According to representatives of the developer company, the main difference between Solarin and other smartphones is an advanced security system.

The model is equipped with Zimperium software designed to protect against hacker attacks and can cope with previously unknown methods of hacking, as well as a KoolSpan chip for encrypting voice and text messages according to military standards. The smartphone is preinstalled with the ProtonMail mail client with two passwords: for authentication and decoding of the contents of the mailbox. The second password cannot be recovered, and if it is lost, all messages in the mailbox are deleted. Solarin switches to a special protected mode by a switch located on the back cover of the case.

Solarin also has a feature that warns of hacker attacks. "We are not saying that it is impossible to crack - said in an interview with CNN Zuk Avraham, founder and CEO of the company-developer of security systems Zimperium. “But at least we'll see it. We can do an engineering analysis of the attack, see what the attackers tried to do. And even "cure" the smartphone, while the user himself does not have to do something."

The well-known industrial designer Karim Rashid was responsible for the appearance of the smartphone. An excellent technical "filling" is hidden under the body of titanium and leather: the gadget is equipped with 4 gigabytes of RAM, 23.8-megapixel main and 8-pixel front cameras and a built-in 128 gigabyte storage. A 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 2560x1440 pixels deserves special attention.
The base model costs £ 9,500 excluding taxes, which is the equivalent of $ 14,000. It can be purchased on the official Sirin Labs website, as well as at London's Harrods department store, starting June 30.
It took two years to create Solarin, and the development cost was $ 72 million. Israeli company Sirin Labs was founded in 2013 by Israeli venture capitalist Moshe Hogeg, ex- McKinsey consultant Tal Cohen and entrepreneur from Kazakhstan Kenes Rakishev.>
