Based on the latest technology news and news from crowdfunding sites, vinyl turntables are now developing almost faster than modern audio systems. This proves once again that the fashion in technology is cyclical: music lovers again and again return to vinyl records - and even magnetic cassettes. The task of electronics manufacturers is to catch the wave and maintain interest, offering seemingly familiar devices with a sauce of new technologies.

This is how Love can be described - a promising turntable that, in general, does not look like a classic tournable at all.

Love consists of two parts: the base where the record is installed (comes in two sizes) and the player itself, which looks like an electric razor. Unlike conventional counterparts (where the record is spinning, and the needle remains stationary), the Love turntable rotates with a vinyl disc, which looks extremely unusual. Famous designer Yves Béhar, who worked with Samsung, Swarowski and Prada, was responsible for the appearance of the device.

However, the creators themselves first of all talk about the technical capabilities of their player. Love is able to “scan” the disc and determine, for example, the number of compositions. Songs can be played in random order at any time, skipped or set to repeat. To do this, there are special buttons on the top of the player, but it is much more convenient to do this using a smartphone, with which Love connects via Bluetooth or WiFi. Using the same channels, you can connect the player to a wireless audio system or headphones: the creators claim that their device uses the most advanced codec to date, so the recognizable character of vinyl sound and crackling is preserved during transmission.

You can buy Love on the project page on Kickstarter, the cost is $ 329, which is almost $ 300 below the planned retail price. One week left until the end of fundraising.>
