Autumn is the time for cozy dinners and quiet feasts in the family circle. When choosing new items for serving, you should pay attention to plates with unusual details or thematic designs. They will create a suitable atmosphere and also serve as an additional decor in the interior of the dining room or living room.
For example, the collection of the German brand Hering Berlin with delicate drawings in shades of cobalt and graphite on a snow-white background of matte biscuit porcelain will remind you of summer vacations on the seashore or in the mountains. And images of graceful lions, panthers, jaguars and powerful elephants by the naturalist artist Robert Dallet on Hermès Limoges porcelain will be transferred to the tropical forests of Ecuador.
In search of unusual shapes and details, you should pay attention to the collections of the Belgian brand Michael Verheyden and the Parisian manufacture Astier de Villatte. In the first case, the objects are created by Mikael Verheiden, who masterly works with stone, bronze and wood. His works can hardly be called exclusively minimalistic, despite the ascetic form - they catch the eye with a print or catchy detail.
And Parisians use a rare and laborious technique to convey a vintage effect, as most of the plates, sets and vases are inspired by ancient tableware of yesteryear and are handmade. The clay is kneaded and poured into special molds, then dried and fired twice. As a result, a dark base can be seen through the top layer of thin enamel - such an uneven surface gives modern products a touch of antiquity.
