Albert Einstein was more concerned about his ideas and work than his wardrobe. However, in the 1930s, the scientist bought a Menlo Cossack leather jacket from Levi's in the United States and wore it on for decades.
For the brand, the jacket became a symbol of Einstein's early years in the States, when the scientist gained a reputation as the most brilliant physicist in history, and also became the personification of the image of the "absent-minded professor."

In 2016, Levi Strauss & Co bought Einstein's jacket at Christie's in London. The worn-out wardrobe item even contained a subtle tobacco smell, which the scientist's permanent pipe “breathed”.
Once the jacket was back in the hands of the creators, the Vintage Clothing team set about reproducing the model. In total, 500 pieces were sewn, which were included in the spring-summer 2018 collection and are available for $ 1200.
