According to company representatives, the philosophy of the new line of smartphones is built around three main elements - camera, battery and design.
In the first, for example, predictive autofocus appeared: cameras of new smartphones can now predict in which direction an object will move, which should increase its clarity in the frame. As noted in Sony, this technology is actively used in the company's full-fledged digital cameras, and now it has been adapted for smartphones.
The phones use a fast adaptive charging mode called Q Nova: depending on the circumstances, the smartphone automatically changes the current intensity so as not to damage the battery. In terms of design, the Xperia X is the first Sony smartphones to be covered with 2.5D glass. There are also new colors: "rose gold" and "lime gold".
The first smartphone of the new line is the five-inch Xperia X. Aside from the 2.5D glass and two fresh colors, it doesn't look different from last year's Xperia Z5 - it's still the same symmetrical Sony design.
The Xperia X is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor and three gigabytes of RAM. The resolution of the matrix of the main camera is 23 megapixels, the front one is 13 megapixels, there is autofocus. Screen resolution - Full HD, battery capacity - 2620 mAh. High-Res Audio support is also announced. The fingerprint scanner in the side power button, introduced last year, hasn't gone anywhere.
Two versions of the smartphone will go on sale: 64 GB with a hybrid slot for a second SIM card or Micro SD, and 32 GB with one SIM card.
Xperia X has already appeared on the shelves of Russian stores at a price of 39,990 rubles. Anyone who buys the device by June 30 will receive a one-year additional warranty for a screen replacement, a free six-month subscription to Google Play Music, and access to Privelege Plus, where you can watch 12 films produced by Sony Pictures for free.
The Xperia X Perfomance is the technological flagship of the new line, a more powerful version of the regular Xperia X. It works on the latest Qualcomm processor - Snapdragon 820 - and the rest of the "stuffing" of the smartphone does not differ from that installed in the younger model. But it is protected from dust and moisture, like last year's Xperia Z5. The smartphone will go on sale in early July at a price of 49,990 rubles.
But Xperia XA and its enlarged version, Xperia XA Ultra, can be called the most visually interesting Sony smartphones. Their main feature is the almost complete absence of side frames. This design looks unusual, and in the case of the six-inch XA Ultra it also works for ergonomics.
The XA has a MediaTek Helio P10 processor. Display diagonal - five inches, resolution - HD. Xperia XA will go on sale in the next two weeks, its price is 21,990 rubles.
The XA Ultra has a six-inch display and Full HD resolution. The camera is equipped with hybrid autofocus. The rest of the novelty repeats the technical characteristics of the XA. No price announced.>
