But this functionality is promised by the creators of Travis - a portable "translator" that has become a hit on Indiegogo.
Travis is equipped with a microphone and speaker. It resembles a simple dictaphone, but the most interesting thing is inside: the gadget is able to translate from one language to another practically without pauses. You say a phrase in Russian, the device listens to it, and then with a mechanical voice, like Siri, it gives the same thing - only, for example, in English or Spanish. Travis then listens to your foreign interlocutor and reverses the same trick.
The device knows more than 80 languages, and 20 of them are available offline, which is especially useful abroad. In addition, Travis is trained: the more often you use it, the more natural the translation will be. The translator has a built-in noise reduction system, so it is able to recognize what was said even in noisy conditions. The battery charge will last for 12 hours of battery life.
