Since 1932, the watch house Omega has been the permanent timekeeper of the Winter and Summer Olympic Games. At the upcoming Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, the company will keep track of the time at competitions in all sports. In anticipation of the upcoming competition, which will take place for the first time in Latin America, Omega has unveiled a limited edition special edition Speedmaster Mark II Rio 2016 watch - limited to 2016 pieces. The model partly repeats the Speedmaster Mark II watch of the same name from 1969 - it has the same stainless steel barrel-case. Unlike its predecessor, the modern watch has a well-readable matte black dial, and the chronograph counters and small seconds window are decorated like Olympic medals, that is, they are enclosed in a ring of yellow gold, 925 silver and bronze. The coaxial movement with automatic winding, the quality of which is confirmed by the COSC certificate, is responsible for the well-coordinated work of the shooters. On the case back you can see the Rio Olympics logo and the serial number of the watch from the limited edition.
