For the first time, original home appliances were shown at Milan Design Week in April 2017. The series is called "Sicily - My Love".

Smeg and Dolce & Gabbana have expressed their respect for the culture and traditions of the southern Italian island through the design of kitchen appliances. The result is toasters, coffee machines, kettles and blenders adorned with Sicilian painting with lemons, prickly pears and cherries, symbols of this region of Italy.

This is not the first time Smeg and Dolce & Gabbana have teamed up. In 2016, a line of bright refrigerators came out from under the pen of designers, which also served as a declaration of love for Sicily. The limited edition (100 copies) was accompanied by an impressive cost ($ 50,000) and was a success.

The current project with kitchen appliances is much more modest: Domenico and Stefano no longer paint every piece by hand. Stickers are used for decoration. Therefore, cheerful Sicilian teapots and juicers can be purchased for $ 600.
