Mille miglia

Perhaps the most famous event of this kind. Traditionally it is held at the end of May along the circular route Brescia - Padua - Rome - Parma - Brescia. Cars from 1927-1957 (years of the original Mille Miglia high-speed races) are allowed to participate. You can apply for participation by filling out the registration form on the website. The application must be accompanied by the certificates of the following reputable organizations: the International Federation of Vintage Cars (FIVA) and / or the International Automobile Federation (FIA) and / or the Italian Motor Sport Commission (ACI); photographs of the car; all available documents confirming its historical authenticity.

Applications are considered by the organizing committee, giving preference to models that have taken part in historical races. The selection is very strict, for example, out of 705 applications submitted for participation in the Mille Miglia 2017, only 440 were satisfied.

The € 8,540 entry fee, payable upon registration on the website, covers the cost of: hotel accommodation (maximum four stars) for four nights, including breakfast; meals in the form of three light meals and four lunches; participation in the ceremony of awarding the winners of the race. The price also includes a “participant's kit” in the form of a legend (road book), an identification sticker on the car, necessary passes and a catalog.

You can check if the car is allowed to participate in races on the website. True, despite the seeming ease of the procedure, in fact it is quite difficult to become a participant in the race: the queue of those who wish is very, very impressive.

You can apply for participation by filling out a very detailed six-page application form on the website. As usual, you are asked to provide all personal data and provide maximum information about the car. Cars of 1951-1973 years of production are allowed to participate without any changes in the original design. The organizers are especially fond of cars that have ever taken part in the Tour de France.

The entrance fee (for a crew of two it will amount to € 9.6 thousand) is paid upon application. They are accepted until January 1 of the year of the competition. At the same time, early booking is encouraged: by registering before November 15, you can get a € 500 discount. The amount includes accommodation and meals for the crew during the race.

The rally is organized in accordance with the International Sporting Code (a set of rules valid for all races held under the auspices of the FIA) and the requirements of the French Federation of Sports Cars - FFSA.

The rally started from TSUM (Petrovka st., 2) and finished at Barvikha Luxury Village (8th km of Rublevo-Uspenskoe highway). The route was designed for 3–3.5 hours. The route map is coded, so the participants' task was to pass the route in accordance with the rally rules at checkpoints and finish at Barvikha Luxury Village.

Rallye des Princesses

As the name suggests, this event, organized for the 18th time by Patrick Zaniroli Promotion Company under the patronage of the French Federation of Historic Cars (FFVE), is attended by "princesses". But it is not necessary to belong to any august family name. It is enough to be born a girl, have a car made before 1990, € 5.4 thousand for the entry fee (in 2017) and the desire to get from Paris to Saint-Tropez, having overcome not 700 (in a straight line), but about 1.6 thousand. km. This year's outing (the organizers insist that the Princess Rally- this is just a car trip, not high-speed races) was designed for four days: from May 28 to June 1. So that its participants, regardless of the age and power of their cars, could calmly enjoy the picturesque views of the French hinterland, without endangering themselves and those around them, and without violating traffic rules.
