Video: Why Apple doesn't talk about competitors 2023, May

Western analysts calculated the date of the next Apple presentation a long time ago based on the past. This time, it turned out to be either September 10 or 11, but the last date is tragic for the United States, so there were few options.

Traditionally, the closer to action, the more details about new items leak from different sources. Judging by them, we are waiting for an update of all the most relevant lines of devices: iPhones, smartwatches, AirPods, tablets (both the Pro version update and the appearance of a simpler model are promised). They also promise the largest in the MacBook Pro line and a fresh HomePod speaker with a smart voice assistant Siri, which, of course, should be smart if Apple does not want to lose its position in this area of home technology.

IPhones, according to Bloomberg, will be three, as in 2018. The same number of cameras will be in flagship smartphones, combined at the software level by artificial intelligence. And here Apple is catching up with its competitors, who managed to demonstrate quite outstanding indicators in some places this year, so Tim Cook's team will have to try to surprise us. However, so far she has succeeded. As for the cameras - that's right.

In general, software processing of mobile photos is undoubtedly the future - simply due to physical limitations that impose the dimensions of smartphones on the dimensions of matrices and other photomodules. We have already seen impressive examples of improving the image quality on the example of the first Google smartphone, where there was only one camera at all.

In video filming, the Bloomberg source also promises a kind of breakthrough in the form of the ability to edit, retouch, apply effects, change colors, crop video in real time while recording.

A new wide-angle FaceID sensor is also promised, due to this, unlocking through face recognition will be able to work not only when the smartphone is brought to the face, but also when, for example, it is lying on the table. But there is a big question about random unlocks: will this method be safe?

Water resistance performance is believed to have improved. Although I must admit: the current iPhone models will give odds to many competitors in this regard. On vacation by the sea, I was able to experiment with underwater photography, and the worries were completely in vain. Moreover, the software worked perfectly against the background of Android glitches (yes, I dived with two devices at once).

As for the heart of the system, for the fast operation of all new features, as well as processing of augmented reality, the iPhones, apparently, will be equipped with another improved version of the processor, the A13.

But support for 5G networks will have to wait another year, writes Bloomberg.

But the most reliable supplier of information is still the Chinese retail. It is critical for her to have small things on the shelves for new models already at the start of sales: covers, selfie sticks and the like. What's funny is that the cases for supposedly new iPhones have not only cutouts for a different camera arrangement, but also the names of unreleased models. iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max - and nothing else. Decide Tim Cook to issue a different naming at the last moment, and merchants will have big problems.

Who and what will compete with the iPhone 11

Huawei P30 Pro - in camera capabilities

Huawei P30 Pro, having entered the market, has taken an unattainable height in terms of photography. In practice, the 10x hybrid zoom makes it possible to programmatically vary the shooting approximation by 50 "steps": as a result, at the maximum, it turns out to be relatively good at capturing objects that are 1.5 km away (like the top of a building), which cannot be seen on the horizon with the naked eye. In general, the Huawei P30 Pro has not three cameras, but four: Leica lenses of 40 megapixels (wide-angle lens, f / 1.6 aperture, optical image stabilization), 20 megapixels (wide-angle lens, f / 2.2 aperture), 8 megapixels (telephoto lens, f / 3.4 aperture, optical image stabilization) and TOF lens (so-called time-of-flight camera for measuring image depth).

The new top-end Samsung device is a serious competitor. It was its display that received the highest rating in the history of the DisplayMate rating, comparing parameters such as brightness, reflectance, color accuracy and amount of blue light. The Galaxy Note10 + has a peak brightness of 1,308 nits, while the Dynamic AMOLED Infinity display has the lowest reflectance ever for DisplayMate at 4.3%. By the way, exactly a year ago, the title of the best display from DisplayMate was awarded to the iPhone XS Max - let's see if the "Yabloko" will be able to regain leadership this time.

From year to year, the central iPhone models do not even try to play in a variety of body colors: we are offered the eternal black, gray, white (sometimes also gold) classics. Brighter colors suggest only the line of younger iPhones - XR. But even it looks boring against the background of the same OPPO Reno FC Barcelona edition: the brand continues its partnership with the football club with the release of a blue-garnet version of the Reno line smartphone. Here are the corporate colors, and the gradient shimmering under the glass, and the golden club logo - all this is not for everybody, but, at least, fresh and extraordinary against the background of the annual b / w.

The balanced indicator "price / quality" initially became a feature of the company, on which it built its smartphone image. In the measure of innovation, the rejection of "extra" functions and the cost, every time causing surprise - this is what Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro stands for. The selfie camera is periscope, that is, it extends from the upper edge. This means that the display is devoid of cutouts, "bangs" and other interfering elements. There are three main cameras, as usual, the processor is top-end, Snapdragon 855. 4000 mAh battery.

Google Pixel 4 - in the development of the ecosystem

Leaks about a fresh model from a search engine began to appear gradually, since the summer. First, the outlines of the rear panel were "leaked" to the Network (it will be just like the alleged iPhone 11), then an official video appeared, where the novelty is controlled by gestures without touching the smartphone. The Pixel 4's owner authentication may also be "extended" from different angles. The main camera will be, as they say, 12MP, the telephoto lens - 16MP, and the third element of the photomodule presumably includes a TOF sensor or a laser autofocus sensor.

Vivo Nex 3 - in charging speed

The novelty of the Chinese corporation Vivo is expected to have several "killer features" at once. First, the Vivo Nex 3 display threatens to fill 99.6% of the smartphone's front panel area. Record figures should be provided by the display, the edges of which "flow down" on the sides almost at right angles, like a waterfall. And secondly, fast charging, judging by the leaks, will not be 44 W, as expected earlier, but a crazy 120 W. If this figure turns out to be true, the Vivo Nex 3's battery will charge from zero to 100% in about 15 minutes. In just 15 minutes! The processor in the new product is likely to be Snapdragon 855 Plus, a main camera with a 64 megapixel sensor, a cellular module with support for 5G networks.>
